Almut Rink, visual artist, works and researches – mainly in public space – on concepts of our self-image in the field of tension between individual and group, subject and object. Using the artistic means of sculpture, drawing, performance and video, she investigates intercultural systems of cognition that place physical-sensual experience equally with cognitive thinking and thus expand our ideas of living together. Most recently, the publication „On Orientation“ was published by Verlag für moderne Kunst, which summarizes her artistic research of recent years.

Almut Rink, bildende Künstlerin, arbeitet und forscht – u.a. im öffentlichen Raum – zu Konzepten unseres Selbstverständnisses im Spannungsfeld von Individuum und Gruppe, Subjekt und Objekt. Mit den künstlerischen Mitteln der Skulptur, Zeichnung, Performance und Video untersucht sie interkulturelle Erkenntnissysteme, die körperlich-sinnliche Erfahrung gleichberechtigt neben das kognitive Denken stellen und so unsere Vorstellungen von Zusammenleben erweitern. Zuletzt erschien die Publikation „On Orientation“ im Verlag für moderne Kunst, die ihre künstlerische Forschung der letzten Jahre zusammenfasst.
